Within 11 years, Alex had lived in 15 different foster families.
It’s Hard To Trust
Along the way, Alex lost trust in adults, and it’s hard to blame him for feeling that way because we know that he just wanted a family who’ll love and keep him for good.
A Couple Heard His Story
A couple from Oregon named Jenny and Stephen Madkour heard Alex’s story from Jeff Gianola’s Wednesday Child. Right after this, they connected with the boy and they felt something special about him.
He Picked Their Interest
Jenny said, “Anybody who’s seen that video of Alex, his core awesome comes out in that video. It was such a great thing, the way Jeff Gianola talked to him and Alex’s interaction with him, it really gave us a glimpse of who Alex is.”
They Asked Him To Move In
Jenny and Stephen met Alex before Thanksgiving, and right before Christmas, they asked him to move in with them.
They’re Adopting Him
The couple started working on Alex’s adoption papers. He was so happy to learn about it and still couldn’t believe it’s all happening. He said, “I didn’t think I was going to find a forever home this good.”
Meant For Each Other
The couple immediately knew that Alex belonged to them right after seeing him. It was just so hard to ignore the special connection.
