Giant bears have their own little ice capades on frozen pond

Recently, Rosie, a 23-year old female Kodiak bear weighing 750 lbs. was found playing on the ice with her friend, Randy, a 23-year old male Syrian brown bear weighing 790 lbs.

The two bears resided at the Orphaned Wildlife Center in Otisville, New York, solely taken care of by Jim, and his wife, Susan. The couple did all the chores independently and didn’t have anyone to help them take care of the animals.

The couple loved their bears and treated their animals like their own kids. The sanctuary’s main motive was to take care of these misunderstood animals and later release these beautiful creatures into the wild.

Rosie, the female bear, and Randy, the Syrian brown bear, were found roaming in their enclosure at the sanctuary. The way the bears walked on the ice felt as if they knew how to moonwalk on ice.

It felt that Randy was in a feisty mood and wanted to have a wrestling match with his sibling. However, Rosie was in a mood to play along. So she gave him a slight slap on his face, which made Randy sit quietly for a while on the cold ice.

The poor bear could not do much as his sibling seemed angry about something. Finally, Rosie came closer to Randy, decided to play with his brother, and gave him a slight nudge with her nose.

To this, Randy started to drag himself on the icy cold ground. It was amazing to find that the ice did not break even when the 2 bears were playing on it. The bears playing on the ice felt like kids playing in the snow.
