Billy Flynn Gadbois is a father and an ex-husband from Boston. He did something to his wife that not a lot of people will accept as the right decision.
On her birthday, Billy bought her flowers, a birthday card, and made breakfast which they had together with their children.
When people asked him why he does that still he gets annoyed. The main reason why the question annoys him is that he is trying to set an example to his two young sons who need to see what the right way to treat women is.
He also adds that when the children see how their dad treats their mom, they will form the way which they see women. Billy thinks that this will help his children treat women with respect and will affect the relationships they will have in the future.
He finished the post with: “So if you aren’t modelling good relationship behavior for your kids, get your sh*t together. Rise above it and be an example. This is bigger than you. Raise good men. Raise strong women. Please. The world needs them, now more than ever.”
However, it wasn’t always easy for Billy and his wife to overcome the issues they were experiencing. The anger they had for each other had to be overcome for them to show their children the proper way to behave.
“We’ve worked hard over time to establish our boundaries and find ways to manage our interactions so our issues are minimalized or left at home when it comes to the kids. It’s an ongoing process but you can see a huge difference in the happiness and confidence and security of the boys since we started working at it,” he finishes.
