Kinsey French is the special education teacher for eight children with Down syndrome in Kentucky. Kinsey plays a very important role in her students' lives. Her deep care and love for her students is clear to all those who are close to her; her now-husband even proposed to her in front of the entire class, which was deeply moving for everybody present.
Kinsey knew that her wedding wouldn't be complete without her students. They'd already seen the proposal and were so excited about their teacher's special day.
Kinsey realized that she was a central figure in her students' lives and thus, it seemed completely natural that they would be part of one of the most important days of her own life.
When the students showed up at the wedding, it was impossible for them to hold back their excitement. They all looked lovely in their finest bow ties and flower garlands.
The six girls got to be flower girls and the two boys were the ring bearers — two of the most important wedding day jobs! The little ones nearly stole the show in their adorable suits and dresses, but the bride didn't mind, not in the least!
The eight students loved the party after the ceremony and only added to the festive atmosphere. Even though many of the other guests didn't know who the children were, they felt it was very special to have them there. Some even started tearing up when they caught sight of the joy on the young ones' faces.
By the end of the evening, everyone was exhausted, but the students were proud that they got to be part of their teacher's big day.
Kinsey cried many tears of joy during her wedding and she knows that it wouldn't have been the same without them. Photographer Thomas Lang did a fantastic job capturing many special moments during the day.
