Farmer Marek Slodkowski returned to his barn in Poland, only to find a horrific sight.
His beloved horse, Freedom, had fallen in a maintenance pit and was stuck. Marek put some hay down for the horse to hopefully climb up and get out. But it didn’t work, and Freedom’s condition was quickly becoming worse.
Marek then called the fire department and a good number of firemen soon arrived to free the horse from the pit. Long straps were used to pull Freedom out. This did not work either though. The horse at this point was exhausted as by now she had been down there for several hours. Marek could only talk to the horse and tell her that it would all be okay. Then something happened. Freedom suddenly regained some energy and began fighting for her survival.
