Christmas isn’t necessarily the celebration of Jesus’ birthday so much as it is a recognition that God entered history in flesh. It’s why in the ancient church and modern liturgical calendars, it’s called the Feast of the Incarnation. But who is this God? John tells us unqivocally: God is love (1 John 4:7-8). This means love came down at Christmas, and as we receive Him, we share the gift with others.
Sing along with the classic poem “Love Came Down at Christmas” turned into a song by Christian radio favorite Jars of Clay.
